Oar Arm Chair

When Thomas Lee designed the first Adirondack chair in 1903, his idea was to create acomfortable chair for the great outdoors. This update for the contemporary office, the OAR Collection, adopts the raked back and deep-angled seat as an inspiration. Softening this classic form’s bold lines for indoor use became our focal point, while drawing on the sensibilities of Danishmid-century modern styles. Plush seats and backs, supported by warm and elegant turnedwood and joinery, together bring forth the best of indoor and outdoor features. Offering both lounge and pull-up styles allows this attitude of nostalgic comfort to be applied to a range of uses. While you meditate on the presentation about to begin or relax during a casual meeting;sitting in Oar, you may drift along with the warm breezes of summer, and imaginelooking out on a lake, relaxing with a cool drink that rests on its wide arms. Mid-summeror mid-century, Oar brings back the best of memories and helps spark new ones.
